| The Radar Flag Company offers radar flags for boats that are radar visible for up to 4 miles. As boaters, we are all aware of the
failings of conventional radar reflectors. With the arrival of space technology,
specifically, "Star Wars" research, cloth can now be "metalized" and
thus radar reflective. Our Radar Flags are flag sandwiches β literally! Two specially designed and constructed national flags
hold between them the "Rip-Stop" nylon lining which is impregnated with silver, then urethane coated for protection from the elements.
When radar waves strike the radar flags from any direction, they are
conducted through the maze of metal threads setting up a large electrical field which reflects the radar waves back to the transceiver. Exhaustive testing in the U.S. and Europe have shown that the
Radar Flag will consistently reflect radar wave four miles when flown only two feet off the water.
Our radar flags are hand-made of superior materials and workmanship and when properly used will give you many seasons of boating safety.
